yeah im not a big fan of driving deer, & i have taken many,many deer hunting the woods & bottoms around here.i think im a little nervous about changing up tactics right now, but my gut is telling me what im looking for is in there!!!.can't really park anywhere else it is our peg-board area.im going for it thurs. Vehicals don't spook deer near as much as the smell of a human, once you've exited your vehical. Join the successful deer hunter moron club.LOLĪs far as parking goes, I would be sure to do your best at parking somewhere where you can get into your spot, without getting winded by any deer in the briars. Heck I can sit in a ground-blind or a tree-stand and watch an empty field, tree-line or deer trail for hours upon end. Man i will feel like a moron sitting there looking into a patch of briars!!!!!!. That could ruin your chances of being selective in your search to see whoall's living there. I disagree with driving it or pushing dogs through it. Waiting for the right wind is your only wise move. but i have to wait till the wind is right to set up there. i really can't set up anywhere else because you can't see into it.man i will feel like a moron sitting there looking into a patch of briars!!!!!!.you don't think us parking there will spook them? thats my biggest fear i have found the spot i want to set up at.i would acually be at the edge of it, in a log pile next to the field looking down that path, i do not want to enter it at all. I just wish I was there to give you a hand Remember the direction of the winds while making your blinds. Scout it quietly but well, and find out where the deer are exiting and entering. You need to make a few different set-ups to be able to hunt whichever wind is blowing on any given day. You just have to be very careful setting up near there as not to spook the deer that are bedded there. You can almost bet your booties that this briar patch is the deers bedding area.
